How long does the Live Scan fingerprinting process take?

Approximately 15 minutes.

Do I need Live Scan fingerprinting if I've already done it before?

Yes! The DOJ only shares your information with the requesting agency on your request for live scan form. You must complete a new Request for Live Scan Service form, and have new livescan fingerprints taken each time an agency requests a criminal background check.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. No checks.

Do I need an appointment?

Services are provided by appointment or on a walk-in basis. Appointments are strongly recommended.

Can I pre-pay over the phone?

Are you able to visit my work site to process a number of Live Scans?

Yes, but only on evenings or weekends. However, one of our affiliated companies may be able to meet with you during the work week, so please feel free to check with us.

What do I need to bring with me for Live Scan service?

Payment, your fully completed Request for Live Scan Service Form, and DOJ approved identification.

Where can I find a notary near me?

If our Mission Valley office isn't close enough, your local bank may be able to notarize a document for you. Otherwise, please visit Notary Scout to find a notary near you.
